Future ASEAN Visa

Earlier in the year the Federal Government announced that a new agriculture-specific visa is planned enabling UK citizens to work in Australian primary industries & expanded to include Pacific Islands and Southeast Asian countries.

In August, it was announced the Australian agriculture visa would be in operation by the end of September 2021. Whilst negotiations with partnering countries are still ongoing and the issues surrounding the pandemic including quarantine and the lack of inbound international flights this sis still good news for a sector that desperately relies on large volumes of seasonal labour.
