Strong labour market in the face of COVID

The number of job postings online can be a great indicator of the pandemic’s effects on the labour market. Despite the toll lockdowns take on families, businesses & the economy hiring activity remained strong through July.

Unfortunately while roles in hospitality, tourism & sales continue to struggle, not so for occupations including cleaning & sanitation, community & social service, & construction with the demand expected to continue through the year.
